Smiths security services offer a full safe and vault sales, maintenance, removal and opening service.

If you need to purchase or rent a safe we will talk you through the cash./jewellery rating required by your insurance company (for a quick guide please see bottom of the page). From here we will then help you chose a suitable location for the safe according to size, accessibility and convenience. We can offer a number of different opening methods including key and combination.

Outside of sales our service continues with our removal or safe relocation service. We use a wide range of techniques, both new and traditional to move safes. Our experience allows us to navigate over and through everything from stairs and doors, to expensive floors and soft grass.

Like cars sometimes safes break down, combinations can be forgotten and keys can be lost.

This is where the safe opening service comes in. We use our extensive product knowledge and years of experience to open safes and strong rooms others can’t.

Once the safe has been opened the client has a number of options including having the safe repaired or having it removed.

Cash rating, a quick guide

A safe cash rating tells you what value goods you can keep in a safe. Listing cash value followed by valuables the rating’s are:

  • £1,000 – £10,000

  • £4,000 – £40,000

  • £10,000 – £10,0000

  • £17,000 – £175,000

  • £35,000 – £350,000

A safe must NOT have the maximum amount of valuables and cash at the same time.
