In addition to locks Smiths offer a range of high security products for Berkshire and North Hampshire. Alongside installation we also offer a full maintenance service for new and existing installations
Bollards and road blocks
Smiths security services can supply and install a wide range of bollards.
The bollards we fit include those used to restrict or prevent parking (photo). And high security bollards used to prevent unauthorised use of private roads.
Bollards can be installed infront of roller shutters to increase the security. For example should a criminal get through a shutter, a high security bollard could prevent them removing large items.

Collapsible window gates
These give fantastic protection to vulnerable windows and doors while at the same time allow them to be used. While a building is empty and out of use the bars can be locked shut, then when the building is occupied the grills can be opened and the window/door can be used as normal.

Strong room doors
Strong room doors are a step down from vault and safe doors. Even so they still provide a high level of security for homes and businesses. Smiths security services can supply and fit a range of strong room doors together with standard doors, moderfide with reinforcement.
Strongroom doors are normaly fitted with high security euro cylinders protected with a steel rose. to help secure the hinge side hinge bolts are used. The door is hung on a reinforced steel frame bolted to the wall.
The doors come in a range of colours however this can add to the cost.

Fence spikes
Fence spikes made of plastic are a non harmful product designed to make it hard to enter or exit a property over a fence. The spikes will leave scratches and markes on the intruder. The spikes featured were fitted in Andover, Hampshire.
Barbed and razor wire
Barbed and razor wire are a step up from plastic spikes and will leave significant marks and cuts on intruders. This product should only be used for areas requiring a very high level of security. The barbed wire was fitted in Reading.
Door reinforcement
We use a range of methods to reinforce vulnerable communal dwelling doors in a way that the door is much stronger while not affecting the aesthetics.
For commercial buildings we can also add heavy duty steel sheeting and fixings to reinforce exits and pedestrian doors. The plate in the photo was fitted in Tadley, Hampshire.
