At smiths we aim to bring a comprehensive locksmith and security service to Basingstoke, Reading and beyond. From locks and safes, to bollards and bars, we can find a solution for you.
Lock installation
Smith’s experenced locksmiths fit a wide range of locks to all types of doors including UVPC, aluminium and wood.
The locks supplied and fitted include Rim, Euro, Scandinavian, screw in and oval cylinders. Mortice sash and dead locks, as well as multi point locks.
We also supply and fit a wide range of window, safe, cam and specialist locks.

Safes and vaults
Smith’s safe service includes supplying, installation, removal and relocation. The service covers regular free-standing safes, underfloor safes, vaults, fire safes, data cabinets.
We also service and maintain safes, including key cutting. This key was produced for a customer in Newbury.

Landlord services
Smith’s landlord and tenant service is aimed at keeping landlords and their clients property safe. We offer this service to the domestic and commercial sector.
The landlord and tenant service covers lock upgrades, repossessions and emergency lock opening. We also carry out emergency bording up of broken or damaged doors and windows. Following bording we can re glaze or replace the window/door.
We also carry out door reinforcement and install access control.

Key cutting
Smith’s the locksmiths offer a full safe and vintage key cutting service for Hampshire and West Berkshire.
Safe keys cut are from manufactures including John Tann, Chubb, Burton and Milner.
We are also able to produce by hand bespoke keys for vintage and antique locks.
Please note we do not cut car keys.
