Basingstoke is considered one of the most important commuter towns in the  country with a population of around 113,776. With its rail links to Southampton, London and Reading it is now a very desirable place to live.

The towns history can be traced back to the Neolithic era. It’s most famous historical event was the siege of Basing house in the 1600’s.

Nearby is Chineham, a small suburban area just outside Basingstoke. The area with modern developments is surrounded with countryside and villages including Bramley and Sherfield on Loddon. The area is also the location of the Roman road between Silchester and Winchester.
